🩸ATHEROSCLEROSIS

As stated by Mayoclinic, atherosclerosis is the buildup of fats, cholesterol and other substances in and on the artery walls. Further explanation by NCBI shares that in the event of a plaque burst, blood clots may form which can possibly block the artery completely or travel to other parts of the body. Complications include heart attack, stroke, vascular dementia, erectile dysfunction, or limb loss. It can also lead to death and disability.

Chest pain (angina), cold sweats, dizziness, extreme tiredness, heart palpitations (feeling that your heart is racing), shortness of breath, nausea and weakness are all symptoms of coronary heart disease. If you are currently having any of these symptoms do take into consideration our atherosclerosis screening!

**Health screening components : Blood pressure and ECG measurement, consultation.

👀 GLAUCOMA

According to the National Eye Institute, diabetic retinopathy can cause abnormal blood vessels to grow out of the retina and block fluid from draining out of the eye which can lead to glaucoma. Groups who are at risk include anyone with any kind of diabetes such as  type 1, type 2, and gestational diabetes (a type of diabetes that can develop during pregnancy).

As mentioned by CDC, there is no cure (yet) for glaucoma, however if it's caught early, you can preserve your vision and prevent vision loss. Put your worries and concerns to a stop by coming for our health screening event!

**Health screening components : Eye pressure, vision test, consultation.

🦴 SPINAL STENOSIS

Did you know? Diabetes mellitus may be a predisposing factor for the development of lumbar spinal stenosis according to NCBI. Extracted from the American College of Rheumatology, spinal stenosis can lead to the slow but steady loss of strength in our legs. The severe pain caused by this condition can be quite disabling despite having no muscle weakness, since it greatly affects your ability to work and enjoy life.

According to Johns Hopkins Medicine, there is no known cure for spinal stenosis but you can reduce the risk. If you or any of your friends or family members are experiencing back pain and leg weakness, do feel free to come visit our health screening event and get a consultation by trusted specialists.

**Health screening components : Bone density measurement, spine physical examination, consultation.

👂🏻HEARING LOSS

Many are unaware that diabetes can lead to ear nerve damage. Elaborated by CDC, high blood sugar levels can damage small blood vessels and nerves in the inner ear. Low blood sugar over time can damage how the nerve signals travel from the inner ear to your brain. Both types of nerve damage can lead to hearing loss.

The world we live in is filled with joy, laughter and lively music. To hear for life, listen with care. Leave no regrets by joining us in this health screening event as a preventive measure.

**Health screening components : Hearing test, video otoscopy, consultation.
